SEATTLE, Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 - The Seattle Department of Transportation today announced the appointment of Paulo Nunes-Ueno as their new Transit Division Director. A longtime community partner and active family biker, Nunes-Ueno previously held the position of Director of Transportation and Sustainability at Seattle Children's where he was instrumental in bringing family-friendly bicycle infrastructure to and around the hospital campus.

“In his role at Children’s, in his service as the Puget Sound Bike Share Board Vice President, and in his tireless commitment to family-friendly bike commuting, Paulo has been an invaluable voice for bicycling and partner to us for many years,” said Elizabeth Kiker, Executive Director of the Cascade Bicycle Club. “We couldn’t be happier in his appointment as Transit Division Director, and we look forward to continue working with him.”
